Revolutionary Republicanism
Paige Turner

“ A Constitution of Government once changed from
Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost,
is lost forever,”  John Adams.

As we move into another election year, the term Revolutionary
Republicanism comes to mind. This political mindset separated
America from the rest of the world before, during, and after
the Revolutionary War. There was boldness unmatched
throughout history to create the most powerful Republic
on earth through this new political philosophy.

Revolutionary Republicanism is not taught
in the average Political Science 101 classes in American
Universities or Colleges today. The Ideology in itself
promotes ideas that are not implemented in this
nation’s political system. Politicians and leaders during
the Revolution possessed a deep burning passion for
freedom never before found in history. They held dear
their values and the freedoms that were exhibited by
the first settlers that came to this country.

The victory during the Revolution brought forth a need
for an identity of who the people were and what would
set them apart from the rest of the world.  The Revolution
brought about camaraderie and uniqueness among the
American people.  These ideas permeated American’s way
of thinking and the people declared themselves a new
people, a new race because they did not consider
themselves English. They were Americans.

The question arising during that time was: What would
set the colonist apart from the rest of the world and
England? They did not differ much in customs, language,
laws, fashions, medicine, or any other area. In all of this
great grand culture, there was nothing unique other than
calling themselves Americans. Deep within themselves,
the Patriots knew there was nothing that separated them
from the rest of the world. They had rejected  a monarchial
system of government. They knew they must develop a
Republic for the good of the whole society but had to find
a way to bring the Republic into an existence that would be
for the people and by the people. Americans had rejected
a hierarchal society and longed for a different unexplored
new way of life. American’s threw aside the notion power
came from God to the crown. Jefferson wrote in the
Declaration of Independence that the power came from
God to nature. Therefore, through these beliefs, the
patriot’s ultimate goal was to balance Liberty and Power.

The Patriots knew political power in the hand of the
government always corrupted. They also knew at the
other end stood Liberty that never moved but could
be easily devoured bit by bit through a corrupt
government. They knew they had to find a way to
protect Liberty for the people. The Founding Fathers
feared democracy because they knew of the horrors
of the Tyranny of the Majority. Therefore, the Patriots
contemplated placing the power in the hands of the
government and knew the Republic could not stand
long if this took place for they knew power would corrupt.

The idea and philosophy of Revolutionary Republicanism
offered a new political solution. The Power should come
from the bottom up from the responsible self-regulated
will of the people. During this day and age this was
considered an insane idea, Political power in the
hands of the people?

Moreover, there was something that stood apart during
that time to make this new idea work, this was called
Public Virtue; the people’s willingness to put what was
best for the Republic before their own private interest.
The political social order came from the public order,
resting on the shoulders of each individual. They
believed there were enough Americans to make Public
Virtue successful through a daily and pragmatic venue.

By implementing this philosophy, Americans were
bought into the political process. Elections radically
changed because there were more elections and the
number of voters doubled over a very short period
of time. Because Revolutionary Republicanism had
so permeated into the hearts and minds of the people,
the average American citizen carried a copy of the
Constitution with them in 1790.

The desire to be different became evident in the
political make up of Americans because of the
philosophy put forth by the idea of Revolutionary
Republicanism. Because of the participation of the
people during this time, we can once again
celebrate another year of freedom. The importance
of the involvement of the people shows through the
history of our ancestors and the intention of the
Patriots during the development of our nation.

The question today is:  Are we ready to take back
the power in our hands and let “Public Virtue”
be entrusted among us as a people once again?

"Division Among Us"

By Paige Turner

Today, I write this to the many readers who have contacted,
supported, and talked with me personally. Without going
into a long boring discussion on how this article came to mind,
let us say there are times in a person's life when they make
major mistakes and associate themselves with the wrong
people. There is always a sunny side to all situations, and
that would be, there are those good people that stand out
in the crowd. To them, I dedicate this article.

Throughout this great country, whether we are discussing
real life town hall meetings, online town hall boards, or
frequenting chat rooms in any of the ISP's, a major gulf
has taken place within the Republican Party. After
talking to many people, there are those who believe
moles have been placed in every political area to divide
the Republican Party. They believe the moles are placed
within our mist for that very purpose. Then again,
there may be those who have no other desire than to
control the surroundings they have placed themselves
in, but regardless of the reasoning, the division within
the Republican/Conservative groups is real.

Throughout the 1990's, the Republicans rejoiced
when Democrats were declaring they were leaving
the Democrat party and moving to the Republican
side. We saw this take place repeatedly throughout
the nation. Little did we understand the Liberals
who supposedly changed sides, did not plan to
change their Ideological viewpoints.

Now we have a Republican Party divided, the
Conservatives pushed to the side look on as the
Rockefeller Republicans take over the Republican
Party. Furthermore, the Rockefeller Republicans
continue to bash Christian ideas. Most of all, they
certainly do not wish to have Christians or
Conservatives as representatives of the Republican
Party.

The most shocking situations, which has taken place,
are the rumors that come back through the grapevines
that a person is being accused of having liberal leanings
when they have been a Conservative all their lives.
This is when discussions among the people whom a person
is surrounded must take place. Once the meeting takes
place the straight talk has to begin. "First of all ladies and
gentlemen, sorry for the impromptu meeting, but we are
here for an important meeting." "So, listen everyone,"
"rumors of division have been taking place for quite some
time." "Sadly the rumors were correct, the division has
become so entrenched the mole (or operative) has succeeded
with accusations to convince others that many of the good
Conservatives in our groups are Liberals". "The division
has begun." "Therefore, the misinformation must be
stopped now." Moreover, "We are here to let everyone
know how these moles (operatives) work."

The mole works fastidiously and painstakingly to
portray themselves as the confident one within the
group. The mole focuses on how to control the group.
They are precise in their dealings with the unsuspecting
group and in doing so intricately infuses themselves
within the group. Unless the group is none the wiser
and is not able to discern, the person is empowered
through their deception and they grow stronger as
they spread honey and manipulate those around them.
In the process, the mole works to expand their plan to
divide and conquer. All the while the mole is working
in the background using whatever techniques are
available to further their agenda.

Unfortunately, overtime, the mole accomplishes their
task and the group is beholden unto the mole. The mole
has accomplished their agenda, but those who saw the
mole for who they were are now outcasts. The group has
made an arbitrary decision to embrace the bombastic
diatribe of the mole. They have fallen prey to the
deception and by emboldening the mole; they have
given the mole the power to divide the group. The
careful diligent manipulative mole (operative) has
achieved their ultimate goal all in the name of Liberalism.

So the next time someone tells you, "Yes, I made a
mistake and voted for Bill Clinton, but I saw the
light and changed to the Republican Party", but all
the while they are ripping Senator John McCain to
shreds in their rhetorical Ad Hominems, please stop
and think before such a person is allowed to deceive
anyone. Most of all, make certain this person is
really whom they claim to be. Trust your instincts,
because Liberty and Freedom is more important
than bowing down to the new kid (person) on the block
.

Outraged

By Paige Turner

Since all the hoopla has died down a bit after the
Supreme Court decision, Boumediene v. Bush,
let us take another look at the way in which people
reacted after hearing the 5-4 decision. When I first
heard of the decision, I was returning home after
a long exasperating week in Washington, D.C.
This was one of those times when traveling in
my SUV was more appealing than catching a
flight with one of the government controlled
airliners.

While returning home, I listened to numerous
talk radio hosts in different areas. What was
much more interesting than the hosts were the
callers that were calling to make comments on
the different talk radio shows. After years of
asking where were the American people when
judges have made outlandish decisions and
elected officials have totally gone against their
constituencies, the American people finally
found their voices. Caller after caller would
expound on how concerned and incensed they
were over the Supreme Court ruling.

For those of you that may have missed the decision,
the Supreme Court ruled that alien enemy prisoners,
waging a jihad against the American people and
captured by our military in a war authorized by
Congress, have a right—under our Constitution—to
petition our courts for their release. So doing,
the Court invalidated laws it had only recently
implored Congress to enact, laws that provided
these prisoners with generous protections never
previously extended to enemy operatives in
American history.

Yes, the Supreme Court of the United States gave
the enemy of the United States the same Constitutional
Rights as that of an American Citizen. Without a
doubt, the opinion of the Justices was shocking.
The overwhelming response of the American people
on the decision was something that has needed to
take place for years. How refreshing to hear the voices
of the American people speaking out against such a
precarious ambiguous decision.

This ruling not only stepped over the Constitutional lines
but set a 232-year historical precedent. These so-called
Constitutional scholars gave enemies of this nation, an
enemy that harms, maim, and kills our military, the same
Constitutional Rights of the American people, the
very people the enemy combatants despise. These
five justices ruled in favor of the very enemy who
supports Islamic-Fascism. Please remember the
Islamic Fascist were the Jihadist that attacked
America on 911. These Jihadists intentionally
murdered over 3,000 innocent people. Never
forget that once a Jihad is declared, the Jihad
continues until all infidels are dead or the ones
declaring the Jihad are dead.

The main question that comes to mind is where
did five (5) justices who went to law school and
are suppose to be Constitutional Scholars come
up with such a callow extraneous decision?  Many
believe the decision was politically motivated and
and aimed at President Bush, but in doing so,
such a precedent has placed the American people in
harms way once again.

Without a doubt, there was an immense amount of
satisfaction listening to Americans voicing their opinions
that day. Even though, the satisfaction was immense,
there is a down side to this whole sad sordid scenario.
Let us be painfully honest, the American people have
allowed this to take place. The American people sat
back and allowed Liberal Justices to be placed on the
Supreme Court. The very men and women who made
such an absurd decision believe they have the right to
legislate from the bench and override the desires of
the American people.

If you are tired of the rulings such as Boumediene
v. Bush, then get busy, because there will be many
more rulings where those came from if Barak Hussein
Obama is elected. Barak Hussein Obama will only
place more Liberal Judges on the Court who will
legislate from the bench and tell the American people
their Constitutional Rights do not matter.Never forget,
the power to legislate was given to the people. The
people elect their representative and the representative
are to pass laws that protect the people and secure the
United States. This may seem simple, but that is how this
American republic was setup to work - For the People
and By the People. Okay American people, are you
now outraged enough to stop this road that is being
paved to Socialism?

Conservatives wake-up, get out and take back your
local and state governments. Young people, if you
do not understand what is taking place, ask someone
who has served this country admirably for advice.

There is not any doubt the Supreme Court Ruling was
truly a sad day in American history, but this can be
stopped. Call your representative and demand that
your elected official protect the citizens of this great
country. Afterwards, make sure your representatives
truly represent your views.

If they do not represent your views, vote them out of
office and put someone in office that represents your
views. Most of all, stop letting the minorities rule.
Know that your vote counts, your ideas count, you
as an American Citizen counts. Now the only thing
left to do is to, "Just Do It”!
